Overall synopsis:

Execration: n 1.  The act of cursing.  2. A curse. 3. Something that is cursed or loathed.

The Execrations were artifacts, whether of any notable external value or not. Their actual purpose is unknown, forgotten, lost in the passages of time and the chaos of war and religion. But when one of these rare items, some looking only like an abused hand-me-down or even garbage, turn out to be powerful objects. When one falls into unwitting hands, capable or not, benign or not so much, it leads to life changing pandemonium.

Rough draft for The Book of Schidai: Prologue

In the world of Omenire Inaintii Lume, time ticks by slowly in a repetitive cycle of darkness and light. The days are growing shorter and night creeps in to steal the glory, breeding fear and secrets in the depths of its shadows. Secrets within secrets, buried deep within myths and forgotten wives' tales. They were discarded as insignificant in the face of a rising age of modern civilization whose scientific focus deems them little more than hocus pocus. However, with the approach of the Goddess Moon, the secrets have begun to move.

Valkyrie is many things. She's a chameleon of life, changing with each passing year and trying to fit in and blur into the crowds of average citizens. Her boring life as an editor isn't real though, it's just a cover for her true career: killing for hire. Assassination is a fancy term for it left over from an older time, in reality she's little more than a hitwoman. She's good at her job and good at keeping her cover, until one of Lume's deeply buried secrets lands in the middle of her life and blows it all up.

The Lycerian Fables

As magical belief in the world dwindled the Elemental myths created the world of
Lyceria, a world parallel to Earth for their fellow beings. They did this to ensure the
future of the mythical creatures. Yet, they could not foresee the outcome of their
noble actions. If they had been able to, things might have been very different. The
Lycerian Fables is a collection of tales, each one pertaining to the chaos created by
the fighting over and for the world of Lyceria and to a lesser extent Earth. The conflict itself, has been labeled the Lycerian Conflict.

The Lycerian Fables: The Finsceál Curse

 When the Elementals created Lyceria, something happened that they did
not intend. As Earth's magic continued to dwindle and the human race grew, the
world of Lyceria that they created became unstable. No one knows the how or why,
but soon a full blown conflict had arisen between the myths. Those that believed
Earth was home, and those that felt Lyceria needed to be preserved to be their
permanent home. The Finsceál Curse, known by its more common name 'miotas'
was originally believed to have been enacted to curse the royal myths, the praesidia. However, that is the furthest thing from the truth. Regardless, humans have now been thrown in the middle due to the miotas. They could very well hold the keys to the future; whether it be salvation...
...Or damnation.
